Vampire (Love And Pain) by Edvard Munch - Canvas Print

About Edvard Munch’s The Vampire ( Love And Pain)

Are you a fan of this Edvard Munch Vampire print?

Edvard Munch painted this work between 1893-1895.

The painting depicts a red-haired woman kissing a man on the neck while they hug. However, many believe that the woman is a vampire feasting on the man.

Many art critics claimed it portrays the man as submissive.

Someone stole the painting in 1988 but the Museum later recovered it.

There are 6 original versions of the work. 3 of the versions hang at the Munch Museum in Oslo, one is part of a private collection, another at the Gothenburg Museum in Sweden, and the last is not currently accounted for.
