Valley of The Yosemite by Albert Bierstadt - Canvas Art Print

About Albert Bierstadt’s Valley Of The Yosemite

Interested in buying this Yosemite Valley Art Print by Albert Bierstadt?

Albert Bierstadt created this incredible landscape in 1864.

The work depicts the sun kissing the Yosemite valley. At the bottom are a lake and a herd of deer.

Bierstadt wanted to depict Yosemite as raw nature uncorrupted by humans.

Bierstadt painted this work as the civil war raged. This artwork might have been a factor in President Abraham Lincoln protecting Yosemite with a bill.

Today this work hangs at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.

About The Artist

Albert Bierstadt was an American artist of German descent. He was part of the Hudson River school art movement that focused on detailed paintings with romantic lighting. Many say this helped to create a sense among Americans that they should protect the natural beauty. One of the first painters to document the American West. He also worked for the Union Pacific to create marketing materials to promote investment in the region.

This product is exactly what I hoped for!! It's such a beautiful canvas print, and I am so happy with it! I've ordered canvas prints in the past from other sellers, and those didn't turn out well, but this one is perfect! If I ever get another canvas print, I will be ordering from this seller.

Okay print but I really expected a bit better. The canvas is not stretched and there is a noticeable wrinkle. Would have rather it been real wood like the pictures and not compressed board. Like I said, it’s okay. Without the wrinkle I’d probably be a lot happier.

Product came as advertised. No problems with shipping. The picture is a bit blurry though..not sharp. Husband says it looks like it belongs in a dentist office from 1970’s. I still like and will keep just not hanging in a main room...will go in a bedroom.
