This has been one of my favorite paintings for years, but seeing it in a book or on a website doesn't compare with seeing this giclee version on my wall. I frequently see new things in it after gazing at it for awhile, from the velvet-like quality of the background to the personal qualities of this girl's face: her strength as well as her modesty for one example. She reminds me of that famous photograph of the girl from Afghanistan on the cover of National Geographic. Of course their lives could not be more different, but this face is just as compelling in its own way. I wish that more Vermeer paintings were available to the public.

My husband actually let me take down his 7 point buck from over the fireplace. He loves it. I love it. Everyone that sees it loves it!

This picture is wonderful. It's much nicer than higher priced pictures I looked at in home decor stores. The size is the same as in the description, and the quality and colors are excellent. I highly recommend this artwork!
