I put this poster in my office at work, and I have received several compliments on it. However, when I look at it, I always see the one flaw. I expected the self-adhesive glue to be something equivalent to the glue on a post-it pad, so that it would be easy to place and move the poster. WRONG! The poster is more like Gorilla tape. It's so sticky that it was impossible to remove the backing without slightly stretching the bottom half of the vinyl poster. The stretch produced a wrinkle as I applied it to the wall, and the glue is so strong that there was no way to remove the wrinkle. I wonder if it will peel the paint off the wall when I eventually remove it. Probably.
This is a beautiful window scene. It looks so realistic. It was not hard to put up. I started from one side and slowly pulled the backing off as I used a hand towel to smooth it out as I continued to put it on the wall. It was a slightly slow process, but I wanted it to look good. In the end the time I took was well worth the ending result.
I was given an office without a window, but this works for me. Turned out to be a great ice breaker too.
The poster arrived tightly rolled and in a big box. When I took the plastic wrap off and unrolled it, it did develop wrinkles where it was pulling away from the backing. Those wrinkles are not visible on the final applied product. Some reviewers have mentioned theirs not staying on the wall, some have said it sticks so strongly that it pulls off the paint. Mine seems to have adhered to the wall very well and I have no intention of removing it, so I am not concerned. But since it was recently painted (past 4 months) I would say that there is a good possibility that this will pull up some paint if removed.
My office was recently repainted after removing shelves from one entire wall. I have no windows and the wall was completely bare, a window to the "outdoors" was just what it needed. It was pretty easy to apply, but the larger size really requires two people. Find and measure out the space first, make a level line at the top to line it up, and start from the top and work your way down, only peeling about 1/4 of the backing down at first. We did get some bubbles but we worked from the middle, outward and down and it seemed to work very well. We were able to peel it back and re-apply in a couple of stubborn spots.
The photo is vibrant and looks exactly like pictured. People are walking by my office and then backing up to take a second look.
Not what I though it would be..
My waterfall decal came today. It unrolled easily, I placed it on the table with books on it for a couple of hours, and it was ready to put up! I used clear push pins to put it up over my kitchen sink (instead of sticking it to the wall). It honestly looks great!! The colors are vibrant and the picture is clear. I would suggest this purchase to anyone.
Beautiful and useful to giving depth to the room. It helped us cover an ugly wall with paint missing from removing shelves. We adhered it to the wall above our baby's bassinet and are positive it won't fall off.
Looks great in my office.
Looks good in a small windowless room!
