The Umbrellas by Pierre-Auguste Renoir - Canvas Print

About Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s The Umbrellas

Interested in getting this Renoir Umbrellas print?

Renoir painted this masterpiece between 1880-1886.

The work shows a busy urban Paris scene on a rainy day.

In the scene is a woman with her fashionable daughters.

There is a woman with her umbrella either half-opened or half-closed as she inspects the sky. This means it either just started or stopped raining.

A man with a beard is approaching the woman in the front left of the work, possibly to offer her refuge under his umbrella.

This work is now on display at the National Gallery in London.

Once he even had to quit his artistry and work in a factory.
