The Fog Warning by Winslow Homer - Canvas Print

About Winslow Homer’s Fog Warning

Are you looking to buy a Winslow Homer Fog Warning print?

Winslow Homer created this masterpiece in 1885.

The painting depicts a Northern New England fisherman out on the rough seas in a rowboat. The fisherman looks like he has had a successful day due to the massive fish in his boat.

As he paddles back to his ship, the fog is rolling in. He is now in a hurry to make it back before getting lost.

Winslow wanted to express the power struggle between humans and nature in this work.

This is one of many works by Homer that depict the lives of fishermen.

It's exactly as long as my loveseat and centers beautifully. I was a little concerned about the quality when I placed the order, but it's gorgeous and vibrant and I regret nothing.

Looks fantastic on my wall. I had to do a lot of measuring to make sure everything would be well aligned, but didn't expect it to be otherwise.

Put this over my bedding and it’s absolutely beautiful. I love it and it was easy to hang (I hung it on push pins instead of the hanging equipment it came with - so far it’s held on ok and it’s been a few months).
